의사와 변호사를 못미더워하는 풍조가 있긴 하죠, 영화나 드라마 보면요..
A wealthy man, desperately ill, summoned his two close advisors : his doctor and his lawyer.
“They say you can’t take it with you. But who knows? I’d like to have something with me, just in case. So I’m giving each of you an envelope containing $500,000 and I’d be grateful if at my funeral you would put them in my coffin.”
At his funeral, the two were seen slipping something into the coffin.
After burial, the doctor says to the lawyer,
“I have a confession to make. Our hospital needs a new scan machine. So I took $200,000 of his money and put the rest in the coffin.”
The lawyer says,
“I am disappointed that you would treat so casually our solemn undertaking. I paced in his coffin my personal check for the full amount.”

심각한 병에 걸린 부자가 평소 친하게 지내온 의사와 변호사를 불렀다.
“ 저 세상으로 가지고 가지는 못한다고들 하지만, 사람 일은 알 수 없는 일이잖아요.
만약의 경우를 생각해서 돈을 좀 가지고 가야겠어요.
50만달러씩 든 봉투를 드릴 테니 저의 장례식 때 관 속에 넣어주시면 고맙겠어요. ”
장례식에서 그 두 사람이 뭔가를 관속에 집어넣는 모습이 관찰되었는데,
장례가 끝나자 의사가 변호사에게 말했다.
“ 고백할 게 있어요.
우리 병원이 검사기계가 필요해서 그 돈 50만달러에서 20만달러를 빼고 나머지만 관 속에 넣었어요.”
변호사가 놀라서 대꾸하는 것이었다.
“ 아주 엄정하게 처리할 일을 그렇게 함부로 다루시다니 실망스럽네요.
전 50만달러 전액을 저의 개인수표로 바꾸어 관 속에 넣어줬어요. ”
